On our way to Phoenix az for a dr check up. Stopped at a BBQ place called the Onery Pig. Small but lots of locals… cowboys & cowgirls…woot woot. Love cowboy hats.
The food smells great, lots of local people here. Love that!
The food was spectacular, if you’re ever in that part of arizona heading toward Phoenix. You need to stop here. Ribs, pulled pork. Brisket, potato salad. Beans. Cole slaw… all excellent… Best “gem” we’ve found in awhile. Service great, restrooms, clean…

Sad thing to see old abandoned houses, and abandoned homeless people!
I had this blog in my drafts for quite along time and yes its a few years old. Since then I’ve lost several people… and yes there are regrets… so every chance I get I tell my family, friends just how much they mean to me! Don’t let time go by without telling those in your life how important they are!!

Sometimes people think they have all the time in the world to live and love; then one day your world is turned upside down.
I found out that someone I’m close to is going to die. I am so mad at cancer I could just scream from the top of my lungs and yet it wouldn’t matter because cancer will still be around to take away another loved one. How will I cope without this person; not being able to touch them, smile and laugh with them; telling each other stories of when we were younger. It isn’t fair that some one younger than me will be gone and I will have to watch them leave us. …Just like the others. ..

Well since writing about this I have some great news. My baby is having a baby… I guess this whole incident didn’t scar her, for you see she plans on having 4 children. I think we all say that… I wanted 5, but had 2 and then 3 step daughters came along, so you see God did give me 5. Wow…
I will be flying to Virginia to be with her for the birth, and helping her for a few weeks. I am so excited; just as I was with all the grandchildren. All 13, 14 will be a boy.. Jaq Moses. Gotta love that name…
See you soon little Jaq, can’t wait to hold you and kiss you and watch you grow!! God I love all my grandkids….

My daughters were about 7 & 9; they came home to inform me that their 15 Year old babysitter was going to have a baby. Their questions??? How could that happen? She isn’t married, mommy I don’t understand, how can you have a baby if you don’t have a husband?

I have gone on some rafting trips in Colorado and It was during a time when I was afraid of water and couldn’t swim. ( WEIRD but Don’t judge me). My granddaughter wants to go, so I am going again; this time I won’t be afraid because I can swim a little. .lol.
If you’re ever in Colorado this is something you need to experience, even it’s a one time thing. Most of these places will take a picture and video of your trip.
Buena vista is a beautiful place; but my favorite is going through the Royal Gorge. ..wow.. talk about gorgeous!
As we go through Rapids there is excitement, nervousness and awe. Awe for nature and God’s beautiful planet earth.
We tried a new place called raftmasters, you can go to http://www.raftmasters.com I highly recommend them. Great price, friendly, clean and our guides were great. We love Zee! Nothing like a great guide to make it enjoyable and fun!
So in closing…. Life is what you make it…. so ENJOY IT!

Did you know there’s a diet out there that you will lose weight but it will also make you feel good and happy? I met someone who tried this diet and she said she kept cussing about it for 30 days. “I have to eat what?” And I have to make my own mayonnaise? Are you frigging kidding me? She said she was glad it was over, but couldn’t remember if she ever felt happy during the 30 days. I guess if your sad, you’ll try anything to be happy. .. and you lose a little weight too!!

I have been watching the news and every time I see the video of the carnage, I can hear a young child crying and screaming; watching and listening I always cry… that poor child. Is she by her momma or daddy? Is she alone, scared wondering what happened?
One woman said she thought it was the end of the world. Is this really how we want to live? Will we become like the thousands of refugees forced to leave their homes?
I am probably just venting, but I for one am really tired of innocent people being hurt because they don’t have the same beliefs as these terrorists.
I know there are those that say praying and prayers don’t help, but I do feel it does… so….
