
If you have ever had posole or made it, you know it is good, but can be time consuming to make. I made this and had side dishes of toppings… cilantro, lime wedges, avocado,onion, warm tortillas… whatever your family likes… enjoy…
Slow Cooker Posole
1 tablespoon oil
2 lbs pork or beef (i tried half and half)
2 (4.5 ounces) of enchilada sauce
2 (15.5ounce)cans of white hominy, drained
1 onion, sliced or diced
1/2 cup green chiles diced
4 cloves minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
Heat oil in a skillet over high heat. Add meat and stir just until meat is
